Teddy McDonald is a British artist whose practice is rooted in objects of Italian life, architecture and automotive design. Each year he opens a small number of private encounters in Florence and Rome — days spent together, sketchbook in hand, building your own personal visual memory of place.
His works are held in private collections in Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States — among them the collection of Lapo Elkann, Vice President of the Pinacoteca Agnelli, Turin.
GQ magazine named Teddy McDonald, "The Artist's Artist" and "The Artist to Watch".
Private Encounter in Italy
Most people visit Florence and Rome with a camera. A few prefer a sketchbook. This is for the few.
A private day — or two days across both cities — in the company of a working artist whose practice is rooted in these streets. No group. No fixed itinerary. A single unrushed day shaped around your pace, your eye, and what Italy reveals when you slow down and draw.
Each guest leaves with their sketchbook and a hand-finished print — signed, numbered, and made exclusively for the encounter. Not available through the studio or for sale elsewhere.
Teddy works with a very small number of clients each year.
