Most gardens do not need to be redesigned. They need to be composed. Through careful editing, pruning, repositioning and refinement, we reveal the beauty already present, creating gardens that feel balanced, elegant and intentional without unnecessary expense.
Garden Design
When a complete transformation is required, we create considered gardens from first principles, balancing architecture, planting, materials and atmosphere to produce landscapes that mature beautifully over time.

Teddy Garden Co. was founded by art director and professional artist Teddy McDonald. Working alongside our plant specialist, we approach every garden as a living work of art—one that evolves with the seasons, the light, and the passage of time.
Plants are simply the medium. The real craft lies in understanding balance, rhythm, contrast, colour, texture, negative space and how the eye moves through a landscape. These are the same principles that define great painting, architecture and design.
A beautiful garden is rarely an accident. It is composed.

Up to a one-hour visit to explore opportunities for your established garden or new outdoor space, followed by a written summary of initial ideas covering planting, atmosphere, layout and seasonal character. Fee on Application.
